What an exciting time I had. This is the first time I have tried out for any competition. Every Saturday I had my practices and worked hard. Well, it paid off. I won a ribbon for fifth place for the ball throwing. A silver medal for the 25 yard wheel-chair relay race and a bronze for the 25 yard walk. Thanks to Sheila Hoster, my coach, who worked just as hard as I did and for giving me lots of encouragement.

Hi! I am Bob and I want to tell you all what I have been doing. My House Manager, Bill, has been taking me for the last 8 weeks to the Carroll Springs School for basketball skills practice such as passing, dribbling, and shooting. I had a lot of fun and met new people. In March, I had a regional competition in which I placed second out of three in my group. On March 30th, I had the State competition in which I placed second out of eleven. Boy did I have fun. I shared the ball and waited in line patiently for my turn. If you come to my house I will gladly show you my medals. I can’t wait for Bill to take me next year so I can see my new friends again.
